Through the pass of the years, the communication among humans has experienced certain changes in time line history. Time ago, the communication among humans was slow, expensive and sometimes confusing because not much people did know how to neither write nor read. But those times have changed positively. The development in technologies made the humans communications all over the world easier. The development of communication and information technology has made the global culture possible because it has connected nearby cultures and allowed exchanges with overseas cultures.
One might object here that, nearby countries will always have differences that separate them and avoid unification, mostly political differences. As a result, the distance gap between countries starts to appear. The differences in religion are also a factor that leads to have political problems, producing lack in communications. In Uribe’s presidency, there was a time of fear because he made military agreement with the United States that made President Hugo Chavez declare warfare against Colombia just because it was related with military bases.
Nevertheless, there are more important factors that determine the future of human communication. Firstly, the economical similarities go beyond political differences. The integration of nearby countries is determined by their economical purposes, usually related with the common investment in development. Also, the communication developed with economical purposes is done with the main objective to help the market and the trader. Recently, as a result of Iberoamerican meetings there are about 1200 projects of cooperation called south-south in Latin-American (Ximénez, 2011).
Secondly, the culture features, similarities and differences, among cultures are more important than political and economic aspects. This is easy to see and realize in frontier zones, cities or towns that are located close to the border and have daily contact with a town from a neighbor country. Consequently it is possible to see people with a blend of culture (language, idioms, symbols, behaviors, etc.). The music is a clear example of this, The Joe Arroyo proves it. “There may be some people in Latin America who haven’t heard of him. But even so, they’ve probably heard his biggest hit, Rebellion” (BBC, 2011).
Moreover, the exchange of overseas cultures has been possible thanks to the communication development and it helps to strengthen relations among nations. Furthermore, this development provides benefits to the countries in contact. According to El Espectador newspaper, Japan and Colombia had agreed to study the possibility of sign a FTA and also sign an agreement to protect their investments. The governments clearly are aiming to the connection.
In conclusion, the countries in general should give a mature use to this developed communications, always going towards the welfare of their populations. Also, the agreements made among countries should be done thinking logically in the needs of their people. The communications already exists and are used every day, then the countries should take advantage and used in their benefits without going over other countries rights.
