Agrarian Societies

It starts, with the discovery of the agriculture, that means a large scale cultivation using plows harnessed to animals or more powerful energy sources. At that time was the invention of the animal-drawn plow, this moment was called “dawn of civilization”.

Using animal power, farmers could cultivate bigger fields. Plows made the surface more fertile. It helped to make settlements because of the stamina of the land. The population expanded because of the settlement.

Greater production gives more specialization like, farmers to builders to metalworkers.

Since the work variety existed, the money was necessary in the society. Abandoning the old barter system.

Agrarian societies have a lot of social inequality. Usually the most common of the people were slaves or peasants who do all the work. Then the elites could refined studying philosophy, art and literature.

The women role here was about carrying water to the fields.

The religion belief reinforces the power of the elites by defining loyalty and moral obligations.
